DHI

DHI and FUE procedures involve extracting hair follicles from your scalp directly. In FUE, the surgeon manually creates channels in your scalp to insert the follicles, while DHI enables the surgeon to make incisions and implant hair concurrently.

Although DHI and FUE techniques eliminate the need for a long scar resulting from FUT, they typically require more time and incur higher costs.

The DHI procedure is essentially a variation of the FUE technique, which involves extracting hair follicles directly from the scalp. In both surgeries, the harvested follicles are implanted into areas of the scalp that are experiencing hair loss.

The typical duration for FUE and DHI surgeries is approximately 8 hours, but this can vary based on the number of hair follicles that need to be transplanted.

While there is no specific research on the effectiveness of DHI, all types of FUE procedures have the potential to address hair loss due to male or female pattern baldness.
